The AFP, CTOP & Reroute Report of ASPM Advisories provides summaries of Airspace Flow Programs, Collaborative Trajectory Options, and Re-Routes, with drill-down capability to individual advisories.

For information about how to create an AFP, CTOP & Reroute Report, see the Advisories Manual.

Field definitions are available in ASPM Advisories: Definitions of Variables.

The AFP, CTOP & Reroute Report displays the following fields:

  • AFP. The number of Airspace Flow Programs in effect for the specified date(s). An AFP is a traffic management initiative that identifies en route constraints en route and distributes Expect Departure Clearance Times (EDCT) to aircraft with flight plans through that airspace to meter the demand through the area. The principal goal is to provide en route traffic management during severe weather events, but they are also applied to other constraints.
  • CTOP. The number of Collaborative Trajectory Options Programs in effect for the specified date(s). A CTOP is a traffic management initiative that automatically assigns delay and/or reroutes aircraft around one or more flow constrained areas. CTOP is collaborative in that it allows operators to submit a set of desired reroute options in advance of the issuance of the program, and may allow aircraft to avoid GDPs.
  • Reroute. The number of Reroutes in effect for the specified date(s). Reroutes are initiated when ATC needs to move air traffic away from, or into, a particular area of airspace. Reroutes can be issued as either required, recommended, or "FYI". A specific application of reroutes is known as the Severe Weather Avoidance Plan (SWAP), which is a formalized program that is developed for areas susceptible to disruption in air traffic flows, caused by thunderstorms.
